The "source" of the taco sauce/ketchup is the testimony being given by the guy who made the video of Rockingham where the sox were NOT in the video and there was a controversy over it.

The full video had the cops and others downstairs in the foyer doing collecting--there was even a guy in a hard hat in the area in front of the stairs that went back into the living room that I have never figured out what he was doing except that he was kneeling on the floor.

The lawyer who was doing the questioning (OJ"s I believe) asked the photographer what the people were doing in the hallway and it was then that he said that they collected the red stuff in the foyer that lead to the kitchen which they at first thought was blood and then discovered it was ketchup or taco sauce.

Now that I think about it, it may not have been the photographer but Fung answering the questions at that point because I don't know if the photographer would have known that.

I do recall almost falling off my chair when it was said because that meant that the cops and others were working off a false premise that the "trail" (and I do believe he called it a trail) of so-called blood into the kitchen was not blood at all.

Sorry I can't pin it down closer than that. It has been a very long time since I saw that testimony. I just recall that they were playing the video and someone (perhaps Fung) was describing what was going on in the foyer. Perhaps a 1/2 dozen people were there including the female counterpart of Fung's whose name escapes me at the moment. She was collecting by the front door.
