This is where Marcia got the 10:51 to 10:52 time that she used in her criminal trial summation as the time Kato heard the thumps. Backtracking from the one to five minute range that Kato gave before the grand jury, she picked the one that best matched the time that he got off the phone with Rachel Ferrara and first saw Allan Park's limo. This makes sense if you ignore Ferrara's conflicting estimate of seven minutes and her statement that he was gone longer that ten minutes. The only thing she was sure of (she had her television on while she was talking to Kato) was that it was after 11:00

 Q SO WHAT TIME WAS IT WHEN YOU HUNG UP?

A PROBABLY AROUND 10:50, 10:45.

Q SO YOU HUNG UP AROUND 10:45 TO 10:50?

A UH-HUH

Q And were you worried?

A Yes.

Q Were you scared?

A Yes.

Q Did you think it might be a prowler?

A Yes.

Q So what did you do?

A Well, I got the little flashlight and I went

Q Now, you hung up the phone how long after you heard the thumps?

A About two to three minutes. Pretty -- pretty fast I hung up the phone.

Q Pretty fast?

A I'm pretty sure I did. I might have talked about the noise for a bit but then I hung up and said I was going to go and do it and check on it. So two or three minutes.

Q Do you recall testifying before the grand jury that it was one to five minutes?

A Yes. That's in the range.

That's in the range, yes. It could have been as little as one minute?

A It might have been, yes.

Q So the time between hearing the thumps and you hanging up the phone could have been as little as one minute, as much as five minutes?

A Yes.
