The prosecution had problems with key points in Park's testimony before the grand jury, including his description of seeing a 6' 1" 200 pound black male coming out of the house wearing a black overcoat. O.J. is black, 6'2 and he weight 210. He said that he came out of the house in a black robe. By the preliminary hearing it was essential to the prosecution's story of O.J. making the thumps that Park forget that he saw a man fitting O.J.'s general description coming out of the house. He spoke to his mother, his boss and the police about his testimony. A week later in the preliminary hearing he did forget. This time he could remember seeing only a dark figure dressed in dark clothes going into the house. Questions to Allan Park by Marcia Clark Q Okay. Now, when your boss called back at 10:55, during that phone call you said you saw the white male come out on the Ashford side path.A Correct. Q And about what time was that? A In between -- 10:56, 10:57. Q Can you describe that white male for us? A Five foot eleven, 170 pounds. Blond hair, medium length. Q Was he holding anything? A He had a flashlight. Q How long did the conversation with your boss last? A Three minutes. I don't know. Q Three minutes? A Two minutes, three minutes. I don't know. I can't remember. Q Pardon? A I can't remember. Q It was not a long conversation. A No. It was very brief. Q So your estimate right now is about two, three minutes? A Yeah, I guess. Q Okay. Did you see something else after you saw that white male on the Ashford side path? A Almost simultaneously as I saw him, I saw somebody cross the driveway and go into the house from this area, came out. Came out of where? The dark area by the garage and the big tree that he was training to see into when he was looking for O.J. or O.J.'s front door?
