Here is a senerio that would work and be believed. Lets say 20 years from now Fuhrmans wife says that she has to tell her story about Furman being the murderer and she has the police to come to the house.
The find in a safe the BM shoes with the blood still on them. The prints still match the pictures they have on file from the trial. The blood matches Nicole and Ron, that they have on file.
Then a couple of people say other things that point in that way. It would solve the case and be believed.
Of couse this is just a hypothetical situation and it could play out in a different way. But so many things have come out in years long past an incident.
