I realize that you were just giving a possible scenario for getting people to change their minds about O.J. but Kari was right and Lucretica Borgia is a terrific example. When you think of her don’t you think of prison hidden in a ring and dropped into silver goblets of wine? Who doesn’t?
History says that O.J. would have to become a sympathetic character and Fuhrman would have to become an unsympathetic character to turn things around. The only reason most people were angry with Fuhrman in the first place was because they blamed him for O.J.’s acquittal because of his lie about the n-word. They blamed him for getting caught on the McKinney tapes.
Just look at what came out with the discovery of those tapes. They had Fuhrman, in his own words, bragging about murdering people, framing people and getting away with it. They had Fuhrman bragging about his ability to lie under oath, to arrest people for any reason or for no reason and to fabricate the evidence later.
What happened with the tapes? Fuhrman used them to show how he invented characters for a screenplay. He became a best selling writher. He got his own talk show. He became a much sought-after speaker and celebrity commentator. He sent an innocent man to prison and got big bucks for doing it. He produced his own made for television movie with options for another one.
However, after the McKinney tapes surfaced, you can bet that the shoes and any other incriminating evidence that could ever have come to light won’t be easy to find. You might want to start at the bottom of Lake Superior. –Jasper
