Cochrans only questions about note that Fuhrman took were the ones that Fuhrman handed to him on Bundy before the four detectives left for Rockingham.
Cochran was trying to pin Phillips down on the individual items in Fuhrmans Bundy notes to challenge Fuhrmans observations with his. First, though, he had to get Phillips to acknowledge that the notes were indeed the ones that Fuhrman gave him. Phillips said that he had seen Fuhrmans printing before and the notes looked like his printing but he couldnt confirm it because he didnt read the notes. He just took them and handed them to Vannatter who didnt read them.
The interesting thing about that exchange was that Phillips said he did not see a pizza menu inside of the condo or the handwritten note Fuhrman claimed he saw with CARA Cal Pizza Kitchen and a phone number on it. Ron Goldman once worked at the California Pizza Kitchen. Phillips reply to that question tells me that he didnt know the significance of it. Cochrans failure to follow up on it tells me that he didnt, either.
This does not mean that the handwritten note didnt exist. It does meant that Fuhrman was the one person who thought it was important. Jasper
