Rose:

Being an atheist, I don't believe in "afterlives". However, just in case I'm wrong, relay this message to Dick for me: "Get an afterlife!" Shouldn't he be busy with harp lessons or something?

Besides, what is it about his dying that would make him more knowledgeable or, ahem, truthful, than he was while living.

I mean, dear people of smartfellows, Dick Wagner spent nearly the last ten years of his life diligently working to prove the OJ is innocent. While I believe that myself, let's say for sake of argument that OJ is GUILTY.

Do you realy think Dick is going to tell you THAT? Yeah, sure. I can just see him saying to himself, "Well, shit, Bob August was right after all! Now I beter go send an owl to Rose so she'll realize we were all just full of shit all those years and spent all that time lying to ourselves. Hell, I'll be she'll even have her OWN heart attack and we can be together all that sooner, when St. Pete says she has another twelve years to run! Hell, I miss her already, and that guy who blew up the pizzaria in Jerusalem is willing to share one of his 72 brown-eyed virgins with me!"

Yeah, sure he would, Rose. Sure he would.

How about asking him if Jill shively lied about seeing OJ on the murder night?

I asked him about that myself. A day later, a bull wandered onto my lawn and shit on it. Then I woke up! It had all been a dream! Trouble is, I can't figure out if Dick was answering my question about Shively, or if he was expressing his opinion of my theory.

Peace, Rose. When religious people come up with stories like the one you just told, all I can say in reply is, "Thank God I'm an atheist!"
