We have a confusion of paths here. Park saw Kato on the north path that ran parallel to Ashford (just a little in front of the office windows). If Kato had already come out and gone down the south path (by the Rockingham garage), before Park saw him, Kato would have been on the driveway walking toward the Ashford gate to open it not on the north path. That was my point.
In reading your post, we are in agreement with the sequence of how things happened. It was with Jasper's animation of Kato's walk that I am not in agreement with and I am not talking at this point about Simpson being on the south path. Just where Kato was.
Park does say he turned his lights off, so if there is an article on Dick's site showing the illumination of the headlights, it appears to be in error. Park does say that there was sufficent light to see a portion of the driveway, apparently without his headlights. There are so many projects in the works right now, it will be a while before I will get to making any add on articles to Dick's articles. Dick was aware there were older articles on his site that needed to be updated. Somehow we never got around to doing that (so many other things to do). The sheer volume of material on Dick's site means that at some point, every article will need to be gone through to update it for things we have discovered since. I also would like to finish cataloging all of Dick's pictures so CD's could be made for those interested.
