Kari,
THC…. Of course!
In a post I addressed to Miss Marple today, I explained why portions of Park’s testimony led me to believe that he had a memory gap. I guessed that it was because he was doing something too trivial at the time to recall. That might be true, but if he was smoking a joint before he saw Kato, the marijuana alone could have put gaps in his memory. The thing that could have distracted him when he saw Kato was trying to put out a joint.
Park said that he had the door open when he saw Kato on the north path. I’d always thought that it was because he was getting in and out of the limo to ring the buzzer. Now I’m thinking that he left it open to clear out the smoke. He must have had some air freshener, too, to cover the smell.
I’m with O.J. on Park. I list him as a good guy who tried to get it right but made mistakes (like we all do). He shouldn’t have been smoking pot. He wasn’t prepared for the long-term consequences of his short-term memory. –Jasper
