Much of the information that was available on the networks or the web prior to the civil trial is no longer available. You can’t get a full transcript of the McKinny tapes. You can’t get clear, close-up photos of the bloody shoeprints or any of the talking head comments during the criminal trial about evidence in the case that neither the prosecution not the defense wanted to explore because it cut both ways. If it hadn’t been for Dick Wagner we wouldn’t have much of the photographic evidence we have today.
The testing for illegal drugs in O.J.’s body and the bodies of the victims is an item that fell off of the table. It was the subject of conversation on the networks. I paid close attention to it because, at the time, I was looking for a drug in O.J.’s body that would explain how he could have flown into a murderous rage, butchered two people, then composed himself so thoroughly when the limo arrived. That’s when the news about traces of THC on O.J.’s clothing came out and speculation about Park smoking marijuana began. I didn’t think much about it then because I hadn’t put all the pieces together yet.
Now, since you mentioned it, I know that the trace THC could have come from Park’s limo, LAX, the airplane, O’Hare International, the hotel or the vehicle that O.J. rode in or drove to the hotel in Chicago. Park’s spotty memory makes his limo the most likely source.
I don’t say this because Kato denied using any illegal drugs or because Rachel Ferrara backed him up. I say it because the THC was not found in O.J.’s bloodstream, only on the clothes that he wore to the airport. He was not wearing those clothes when he was with Kato before the limo arrived. –Jasper
