Like the olad adage about Sailors, salesmen have girls in every port. Isn't it possible that the man seen in the boat was not Scott and all he did was pretend to go fishing alot so he could see a girlfriend near that area? I have wondered a lot about perhaps his being a real ladies man and that maybe his frequent trips for fishing was not fishing for fish, but women. Perhaps Laci started questioning his fishing without a boat so he bought one and parked near his girlfriends house. The girl called and he decided to go see her instead of go play golf. Maybe he did go play golf which explains why he didn't leave till nine oclock. Several very easy explanations of all of this.
