The N word was simply used to cover up his real perjury. I don't know what made you think anyone believed he was only guilty of perjury because of the N word. He lied about so many material facts it is difficult to keep them all straight. Dan Lundren, then Attorney General of CA let him off the hook despite the clear perjury in a huge percentage of his testimony.
