Nancy Drew, I didn't see that movie but it sounds interesting.
It is not the only time I have heard of where the FBI knew someone was innocent and let them go to prison for their own reasons.
There is a fairly well-known case where Cochran was the lawyer. The guys name was Geronomo something. It was in LA. He was a Black Panther under surveillance and the FBI was actually his alibi yet they let him go to prison for a murder he did not commit. He was actually in another city at the time of the murder.
There is another case in the Northeast with some guy named Whitey B??? who went to jail for a murder or murders he did not commit and the FBI knew it. They were protecting an informant or something like that.
In both of the instances that I gave, protecting the "operation" took top billing over an innocent person going to jail.
Since my friend, Sherman, was told that there was a DEA operation (surveillance) going on with Ron and NIcole--it is not at all beyond belief to me that the operation was protected over getting the real killers.
And it all fits with C. Dial and other drug cops being on the scene as well. And the involvement of the FBI from the beginning in the case. The FBI didn't just do testing of evidence--they actually interviewed people.
Another thing. The FBI is barred by their own policy from testifying in a civil trial. Somehow this was ignored in the civil trial against OJ.
I have always thought that someONE or some operation was being protected in the OJ case. It was always a prosecute but don'e convict case to me.
