Jasper, Sherman was actually told that it was a gang (foreign) --of the drug sort and that the box where video was listed was checked. (Recall that Clark ask the FEDS if there was a satelite video from that night?)
I--like Dick--have wondered if the big white vehicle seen in the area by neighbor Lang--wasn't some kind of surveillance video vehicle (the kind you see on tv and in the movies all the time). I haven't been there but Dick said that there were places for it to part in the area and view the Bundy condo.
Lang and Fuhrman were accused of it by the guy Sabastian --or at least he said he was told that they did. And it is for a fact that Sabastian was some sort of operative working in LA and working in the law offices that dealt with the Reginal Denny case. THAT was in the LA Times itself.
THe investigation into Garcetti's wiretapping never went as far as it should have or if it did a full report never came out--nor was he ever punished in any way. At the time, they said it might affect at least 400 cases.
All of this has always impressed me as a case of protecting a person or an undercover operation. And from the several cases mentioned just today, we do know that the FBI will do it. (coverup of an operation) And we know from Secret Police (book) that the LAPD will let a cop go free rather than "embarrass" the department with his wrongdoing--even if it is murder.
And btw, I have tried to find out an address for Garcetti but can't. Must be unlisted. However, I heard that just like Cora--he lived very close to OJ at that time.
