The Smoking Gun and The Smoking Gun 2 are loaded with things like this. But they are not about the FBI so much as they are about things related in one why or another to Mark Fuhrman. Think of how False Arrest ties into what we know about Fuhrman and the FBI agents (including Paul Minor the former FBI polygraph expert) who covered for him.
A disproportionate number of moves like the one you saw were released between 1989 and 1993. The greatest concentration of them was released in 1991. Who knows when the older moves were aired on TV? Fuhrman’s Murder in Brentwood television movie has strong primary and secondary connections to most of them in the Smoking Gun books and ALL of the “French connections.” Keep an eye on Fuhrman’s neckties. Listen for the sound of the dead man’s shoes (the man from Maryland). Notice all of the lit candles, the train, the train the ghost, the dairy products, the suggestions of incest, the crucifix, etc.
Made for television movies are a BIG source of connections to Fuhrman, and the Bundy murders AND Fuhrman’s version of the Moxley murder. What you found in False Arrest (you should see the ’89 television movie False Witness and the ’93 television movie Taking the Heat) is only the tip of a humongous iceberg. –Jasper
