The ideal spot for the lookout post was on the east side of the Bundy where it makes a big looping curve into Gorham. Heidstra saw the SUV and the two cars pass each other at the other end of the block on Bundy and Dorothy. If Mary Ann was in the car heading north she could have seen what she said she did. If she wasn’t driving that car it’s hard for me to see how she could have fit in anywhere without Schwab or Heidstra seeing her.

Scroll down to the drawing directly below Schwab’s picture showing Schwab’s normal dog-waling route in orange and Heidstra’s normal dog-walking route in turquoise. The green rectangle represents Nicole’s condo. The yellow rectangle is where Stein and Karpf lived. The turquoise circle outlined in blue is where Heidstra would have been at 10:20 on the night of the murders if he hadn’t been 15 minutes late getting started. That’s where the lookout post would have been. Heidstra couldn’t have seen a car parked there on the 12th because he didn’t get that far. That why your correction of the mistake I made in putting Heidstra in the wrong ally strengthened my position on the lookout.

This will give you a dynamic view of how any witness to what happened on Bundy between 10:15 and 10:55 has to fit into things. –Jasper
