I believe that she was walking. Now it seems strange that she would be walking at night in a strange neighborhood. But perhaps there was a reason. Maybe she was not just looking for an aptment but maybe she was looking to see if an ex boyfriend was home or something of that sort. Or it could have been that she heard Nicole was moving and she did not see the sign because it was not there yet and got out to look. But I don't know how she expected to pay in that high rent district, unless she was looking for someone else. In other words with a little more that she might not have wanted to say, her story could make sense.
