I agree that they went after Heistra and the others but there is a clear, straight cause and effect to what happened to MAG that cannot be ignored.
I can conceive of how MAG saw what she saw and that Heistra and Schwab didn't see her.
She could have been just behind the cars passing Heidstra's view and managed to get past the intersection before Schwab came around the corner.
There is about 5 minutes in between the cars passing and when Schwab came along...if not more.
And I don't think Cochran said that she saw them actually come from Nicole's condo but rather from the direction of Nicole's condo.
There were no details as to where they were parked--on Bundy or on one of the side streets, etc.
Had she been able to testify, all of that would have become clear.
As to Hodgeman--he couched all his complaints in the form of the defense not turning over discovery. Ito saw early in the day that he was losing it and was saying take a deep breath very early on. He seemed to think ALL discovery of everything that they had done or even planned to do should have been turned over before opening statements and that if anything came after that--they should not be allowed to use it. Unlike with the DA's who were still behind with testing and other things (such as the photos) that they didn't turn over til the near the end of the trial--and some things that they never did turn over...like the contact sheets and Scheck and Neufield had to go "trick" the clerk out of them.
