There where several reasons for OJ sending the IRS letter. Until OJ decided that he did not want her back, she was allowed to use his address for the time period. Then when OJ decided that she was never coming back, would be a good reason for her not doing so. Then a lot had to do with the maid. She was upsetting the maid and her excuse for coming over was to get her mail. Part of the letter had to do with the fact that she was not to come over unless he or Arnell was there. I am sure that during this time Skip Taft probably was made aware of her using his mail address. Since it was no longer temporary that she was living there, it became a legal problem. If she had gone back to OJ's it would have been rental property, satisfying the IRS. But if she was living there then OJ could have been in a conspiracy of defrauding the IRS and could actually been jail time, but more likely a big fine. The letter was not to make her move immediately but to keep her from having an excuse to come over and to protect OJ was being seen as part of a federal fraud conspiracy charge. I do not know how much time she had from the time she had from selling the other condo or condo's till she had to put it into rental property or pay the taxes, but that may have been a factor that made the time important. Having her address at OJ"s would not have protected her from fraud, but she thought it would. It would boil down to if the property that was supposed to be a rental was either rented or vacant and ready to rent. But if she used the Bundy address to pay her taxes then it could have flagged that she really did not have rental property. I can see no reason that she would be paying quartely taxes, but if so, it might have been time to pay taxes. If she was into prostitution or drug trade then she would have been claiming to have an interior decorating business to laundry the money. Actually they do not go after prostitues for claiming interior decorating, etc. as long as the taxes are paid on her illigal money.
