Jean, Agree with you. That was the spookiest book--not the plot so much as WHO wrote it and when.
You would think that the plot that Darden would "go for" after the OJ case would be something along the lines of a "suspect" who was good at hiding his guilt or uses lawyers to get away with something--or a tricky plot about how someone commits murder while it appearing that they didn't. Something like that. It would be understandable.
However, that is NOT what he does. He does just the opposite. He writes of corrupt cops, corrupt police chief and a serial killer DA....in an LA type setting.
Jean, go back and read what Miss Marple wrote about Darden's closing statement. (Quantum Leap original) Just read it cold and tell me if it doesn't sound like he is SAYING Fuhrman is guilty. What do you think? charlie
