Jean,

Isn’t it interesting to see the people who WERE bamboozled by that old parliamentary tactic in a slightly different form? Vince Bugliosi fell for it. So did Jeffery Toobin. They got so caught up in the days and days of scientific minutia and their ability to follow it that they lost sight of the fact that the jury was paying attention to things that mattered and ignoring the things that didn’t.

It didn’t matter to the jury if the DNA matched O.J. and the murder victims if the times and places they were found didn’t match O.J.’s movements and all of it was tainted by the strong possibility of fraud. In the end, they asked for only one portion of the transcripts to be read back to them because one of the jurors’ notes was not the same as the others’. That was the testimony of Allan Park. What did he see and when did he see it? How did that conform to the prosecution’s mountain of evidence against O.J.? It didn’t… Not guilty. –Jasper.
