Miss Marple, I have never been convinced that Darden WAS crying. And just as we heard that the Ito's (both) broke down and cried afterwards---I think the same as you do about Darden.
I think they were so relieved that got thru it---esp her--without going to Jail for perjury--they couldn't stand it.
Or they also may have known of Fuhrman's guilt and knew he was going to "walk".
I think both Darden and Clark had personal histories that left them venerable to do this false prosecution. I heard a caller to the Dershowitz (sp) radio show--who said he worked in the same building as Darden and that Darden himself had a problem with beating up women---dating co-workers and then beating them up. Allan D. couldn't get him off the air fast enough. Basically hung up on him.
This was odd because AD had proclaimed himself that there was misconduct and some personal stuff involved in the case.
And remember AD got accused of being involved with the defense "investigating" the DA's and the cops?
I think all the participants were picked because they DID have personal issues.
You may recall that Bosco learned that Ito told a friend that there was More to his taking the case than he could say. That he HAD to take the case--he had no choice.
