I don’t think the woman jogger was off on her time. Joggers, like dog walkers, follow a fixed routine. If she went on her run a little earlier or later than usual she would have been aware of it and taken it into account when estimating the time she passed the SUV.
Fuhrman drove a 1984, light green and white, International Harvester Scout. This vehicle fits the description of the light-colored SUV that Heidstra said he saw turning south onto Bundy from Dorothy. I was struck by the fact that he detailed cars for a living, he knew O.J.’s Bronco on sight and he owned a Blazer. Yet, he couldn’t specify what kind of SUV he saw. He couldn’t even be sure of the color. That’s why I believe that the vehicle he saw was Fuhrman’s Scout. I fits the general description of a Bronco, a Jeep or a Scout (Heidstra named all three as possibilities) yet it is rare enough for someone like Heidstra to be unable to name it. I do not think that the jogger saw Fuhrman’s Scout.
Recall that Heidstra also said that he saw two other vehicles on Bundy at the intersection of Dorothy when he saw the unidentified SUV turning onto Bundy. One vehicle was going north. The other one was going south. Those vehicles crisscrossed at the intersection and the one going south followed the one that turned south onto Bundy from Dorothy. Heidstra could give no description of these vehicles at all.
The northbound vehicle was in no position to see or do anything to facilitate the killings. Therefore, I don’t think it had anything to do with the killings. The one traveling south is the one I believe was stationed on the Bundy/Gorham curve as the lookout’s vehicle. That’s the one I believe Brad Roberts drove between Nicole’s condo and Ron Goldman’s apartment to keep tabs on both of them before the killings. The jogger’s time fits my scenario for the Bundy lookout’s duties, which included planting the blue jean jacket in the house and letting the dog out of the gate.
As for the “detective” who told the newspapers that the police had been to BUNDY on domestic violence calls, consider the possibilities: If the article was printed on the 17th, they had to have been told this between the 13th and the 16th.)… At that time, the only source of information about domestic violence calls that the paper could have gotten from a detective was Mark Fuhrman. He didn’t necessarily deliver that information to the paper in person, but whoever did, could only have gotten it from him. As we all know, there were NO domestic violence calls on Bundy and the ’93 call that Nicole made from Gretna Green wasn’t released to the press until July. –Jasper
