I believe that anyone who did the visualization exercise you did with the jogger’s impression that the SUV she saw was parked in an unusual spot would see the same alternatives that you did.
Don’t you think it’s interesting that the Times got this false information from unidentified police officers so early in the investigation? Doesn’t this remind you of the bloody ski mask that “police” found in O.J.’s bedroom closet and the blood trail that the “police” said they found leading into O.J.’s driveway?
Where else in the first three days of the investigation do you find a police reference to a ski mask? You will find it only in item # 17 of Mark Fuhrman’s notes along with his mention of a bloody glove. He doesn’t have to say “bloody glove.” After he and Roberts searched the closet in O.J.’s bedroom one of his gloves left the room when they did.
Where in the first few hours of the investigation do you find a police reference to a blood trail leading into O.J.’s driveway? Vannatter said that the blood trail led out of the gate. Roberts “discovered” this blood trail leading in and Fuhrman told everybody about it.
This “continuing” thing about “domestic violence” is cut from the same cloth as these other false stories. The Times story leaves out Nicole’s move from Rockingham to Greta Green where the only record of her making a 911 call about O.J. (in ’93) can be found. It makes it sound as though the ‘911 call attributed to Nicole in ’89 was just one of many such calls that were common knowledge to police. Yet, we know that when Sgt Farrell tried to find a cop – any cop – who could show a pattern of abuse with testimony of being called to Rockingham on a domestic violence call only Mark Fuhrman responded. Where else could the Times, on June 15, 1994, have gotten the story that police intervention in domestic disputes between O.J. and Nicole was an “ongoing thing” at Bundy?
If the times had attributed this story to “sources inside the investigation” or to their own research into the record, you wouldn’t be able to trace the story to Fuhrman. But they didn’t. And you can. It has “Fuhrman” written in bright lights all over it. –Jasper
