It never crossed my mind that all three vehicles Heidstra saw could have been light-colored SUVs. If all three were involved in the murder/frame-up it would make sense for all of them to fit the same general description if possible.
A decoy Bronco heading north INTO the 800 block matches the time that Jill said she saw O.J.’s Bronco with O.J. making a spectacle of himself at the intersection of Bundy and San Vicente. That’s hard to ignore. The question I have is, who could the driver of the decoy vehicle have been?”
If your scenario is correct, it introduces another person into the planning of the killings and the frame-up. I hate adding “unnecessary” people and complications to any conspiracy theory for reasons that John Junot and J. Neil Schulman would immediately appreciate. However, the evidence repeatedly supports at least five conspirators and it suggest that many others could have played key rolls in the preparation, the frame-up and the cover-up without knowing what they were involved in until it was too late.
Marcia Clark, William Wasz and Tony Pellicano might all fall in this category. Maybe the driver of the decoy vehicle fell into the same category as these people – Although Shipp could have done it if he made the thumps on Kato’s wall at 10:40 and Heidstra saw him on northbound Bundy crossing Dorothy between 10:47 and 10:48.
The biggest advantage in making the plan more complex and involving more people than appears to be necessary is that it becomes less believable with each additional character and convolution.
I have heard that Fuhrman and Phillips investigated Nicole’s reports of receiving harassing phone calls but I don’t know where anyone has offered documentation to that effect.
