The essential point is not that all cops do this sort of thing. The essential point is not that Fuhrman was very good at it. The essential point is that Fuhrman was so good at it that he got everybody he wanted to follow him regardless of rank. For him to be the killer, he had to be damn sure that he would be able to do that in advance. The best way to see it is to try to go as far as the evidence will take you when you try to EXCLUDE him.
Q: How did Fuhrman get Riske, Rossi and Spangler to follow him when they were there before he was and two of them outranked him? A: Whenever a cop deviated from the rules the other cops had to get a story together to cover him so that all of them could tell a consistent story. By being the fist lead detective on the scene (real authority) and “harmlessly” bending a few rules (moving Nicole’s Jeep, the coins and the envelope, having his photo taken inside the killing cage with the Bundy glove) he formed a “protective skin” around himself. He had the best story so his story became Riske’s, Rossi, and Spangler’s. No point in anyone giving the Fuhrman photo with the Bundy glove a second thought, until he “discovered” the matching glove on Rockingham. Now they had the choice of backing Fuhrman’s story or being accused of sabotaging the case against a killer on a meaningless technicality – a wild coincidence.
Q: How could Fuhrman be sure that he would be the first detective on the murder scene? A: Just by knowing how the LAPD was structured and having a friend in the right place at the right time Fuhrman could be certain that he would be the lead detective. Ron Phillips had been Fuhrman’s buddy since they were in Robbery Detective School together in ’87. Phillips became a homicide detective at least a year before the ’94 Bundy murders. If a homicide was committed anywhere in the LAPD’s West Division day or night, Phillips got the call. He assigned the detectives. Fuhrman became a West LA homicide detective in ’90 or ’91 (I’ve seen both). In June of ’94 Fuhrman was Phillips’ most experienced detective. He had a history with O.J. and Nicole. Who else was Phillips going to assign to investigate the Nicole’s murder? His other detectives were rookies.
Try taking Fuhrman out of the other incriminating evidence and see what happens…

Fuhrman’s note 13 suggests a bleeding killer. 2) Rare, expensive, virgin, size-12 shoes (O.J.’s size) with borders on the heels and soles that made them ideal for measuring and a tread that linked them to the same brand of shoes (Bruno Magli) that Nicole bought for herself. Fuhrman’s close-up pointing photo on Bundy shows a clear imprint of the “Bruno Magli” heel print. Fuhrman’s “bleeding killer” hypothesis combined with the bloody shoeprints and the Naked Gun cap in that photo paints a clear picture of O.J. as the bleeding killer. 3) The crushing blow to the back of Nicole’s head and the bruise on her forehead are subliminal reminders of the ’89 incident. Where would that case have gone without Fuhrman’s letter to the city attorney?
Lift any slimy rock in the 875 S. Bundy murder investigation and you will find Fuhrman somewhere in a position to contrive or harness everything the killer needed to commit the murders and to make him a rich and famous detective at O.J. Simpson’s expense. –Jasper
