I just find it very suspiscious that the most important stain in the whole case had no detectable DNA. This stain was what started the ball rolling. Had fuhrman not seen it they would not have have scaled the wall, would not have found the glove, would not have stayed at Rockingham till daylight and discovered the blood in the driveway. They would have returned to the crime scene at Bundy and done their job.
The stain was small, but big enough for fuhrman to "find" in the middle of the night. And they can get results from much smaller stains than that.
