That only suggests that Fuhrman may have known an event was coming down and he wanted to be sure to be in on the action. It doesn't prove that he had then already planned to commit the murders so he could become the investigator of his own murder and make a ton of money. But knowing that a big event was coming down, he would certainly have wanted to be part of it, knowing he had a chance to make it big. He could also have been a more involved participant who was supposed to be in on it and made sure Phillips brought him in.
Phillips's actions suggest he was not in on anything, but definitely played along like any good cop would.
The key to the cover up, and where it originated, along with the murder conspiracy, is the order to not call the coroner and not to bring in the criminalist. Phillips did, however, call in the photographer, who arrived at around 3 a.m. The criminalists and coroner's people should also have been there by then. Imagine how much more accurate the readings of body conditions would have been for establishing time of death had the coroner's people gotten there within a couple of hours instead of 10 hours later.
It's that time difference which gave the police a chance to play with the time of the murders. That was the key to framing Simpson.
Fuhrman had nothing to do with accomplishing the critical tasks that needed to be done to make this cover-up work.
That's why no theory of the case that fails to take into account this critical feature of the cover-up, the massive perjury proofing of witnesses, and the widspreading staging of the crime scene makes any sense.
This is like the Kennedy assassination. For a very long time the opponents of the Warren Commission flailed away with theories that the government was easily able to debunk because the theories all assumed the absence of government complicty in the assassination and cover-up. The basic assumption was that the FBI and other agencies were just sloppy and mistake prone in their rush to solve the case, and that it was some external conspiracy totally unconnected with the government that did it.
The Ruby murder should have tipped everyone off, but it didn't. That too, was attributed to blind luck, just as it was supposed. That murder, however, was very artfully crafted to enable Ruby to get into position to shoot Oswald in a 10 second window while making it seem like a random event. If the pieces of that puzzle are properly put together, the entire plan is as obvious as an open book.
The JFK hit was an inside job. The Secret Service cooperated, as proved by the driver of the car BRAKING THE CAR until after the head shot.
Once that hit is recognized as the inside job it was, all the pieces fall in place.
It's the same in the Simpson case. There are numerous pieces that simply do not fit whatever scenario one tries to concoct until one recognizes that it was a high level conspiracy with significant government involvement in both the planning and execution of the murder, its cover up, the investigation, and trial.
