Tattered smokescreen?
Really now… I have never questioned your intelligence or your integrity. You have consistently questioned mine. Why is that? More about that in another post.
It’s not easy to set up each discussion board with links at the top for ready reference to the full text of Iago In Brentwood, a nutshell version of my thesis, Dick Wagner’s website, John Junot’s website and Walraven’s transcripts. That’s something I have to do myself. I do it so that it won’t take long for anyone to find out what my thesis is, how I arrived at it and the best sources available to challenge it. I have consistently modified my assertions and theories as new information becomes available. Sometimes I find that I was wrong. Sometimes I find more compelling evidence that I was right.
It took me over a year to even think of Fuhrman as the producer, director and lead actor in the murder and frame- up for many of the obvious reasons you have assumed that I was too ignorant, too close-minded or too stupid to comprehend. It took me another year of trying to DISPROVE my theory to learn that it wasn’t a theory. At every turn where I got something wrong the correct information was even more damning to Fuhrman.
You can use selected portions of the transcripts to “prove” anything you want. The only way to get the truth is to put everything in context. That’s what make’s Rossi’s testimony significant. It puts Phillips’ testimony in context by establishing a coroner notification routine in violation of the law that the LAPD practiced for years before the murders.
If Fuhrman was the killer and the man responsible for the frame-up, how does his testimony prove anything? It doesn’t unless there is independent verification that he consistently told the truth or that he consistently lied at all the key paces that a frame-up artist had to lie to protect himself. The evidence is clear that Fuhrman consistently lied in ALL of those key places. Illusionists call it “misdirection.”
During the preliminary hearing Fuhrman misdirected the defense my testifying that Phillips was his partner, thereby creating the illusion that Phillips was the senior investigator. Fuhrman’s partner was BRAD ROBERTS. Phillips had the title of Detective III, which would have quailed him to sign in as an investigator (although I haven’t see a copy of the sigh in sheet – have you?). His responsibly was that of a supervisor and facilitator. Fuhrman was his investigator. To facilitate Fuhrman’s investigation, there was no reason that he couldn’t have made the call, but it was Fuhrman’s responsibility.
Fuhrman didn’t have to talk his boss out of calling the coroner because LAPD homicide investigators NEVER called the coroner until after their investigation was complete. By the time Spangler gave his order to Phillips not to make the call West LA was off the case. The only way Phillips or Fuhrman could have made the call then was if a superior officer ordered it. That had NEVER happed before. Thus, when Phillips volunteered to do it he knew that he would be ordered not to. That was the smokescreen. –Jasper
