There is no way to get around Fuhrman’s connection to the “blood” drop above the Bronco door pocket. He is the one who “discovered it.”
There is no way to get around Fuhrman’s connection to the presumptive testing of that stain that destroyed it.
There is no way to get around Fuhrman’s connection to the blood inside of the Bronco. According to Fuhrman, his partner was the first to see it (through the tinted glass).
You can’t get around Furman’s connection to ALL of the blood evidence linked to O.J. by the killer’s shoeprints (bloody heel print in Fuhrman photo – same size shoes), O.J.’s socks (Fuhrman and Roberts “found” the socks) and the bloody Rockingham glove. Fuhrman is the only person associated with the case who is positively connected to both bloody gloves. He had his photo taken with one of them and “found” the other one later.
The blood trail on Bundy? Fuhrman suggests in his notes before any of the other detectives arrive that it was the killer’s blood on the pavement and the back gate.
The blood trail leading INTO the Rockingham gate that Fung did not document? Fuhrman says that Roberts discovered it and he saw it.
Evidence of a blood switch? Fuhrman is on a short list of people who could have done it.
Prien and I agree that the Bundy murder scene was staged. He noted the blood flow was wrong (flowing and pooling inconsistent). Rose noted how the bloodstains were ideal for covering a second set of shoeprints. In the Mountain of Evidence chapter of Iago I laid out a scenario for the murders that included both the staging and the shoeprint cover-up with the blood flow from Nicole’s neck wound (page 505).
I didn’t get into the pooling blood issue because it could be argued that the flow from Nicole’s neck pooled in areas where there were deposits of Goldman’s blood already on the pavement. To me, the most important thing was the artificial position of Nicole’s body, on her left side with her neck EXACTLY where it had to be to cover unwanted shoeprints – and to make the best artistic composition at the same time. Like the items at Goldman’s foot, you can’t get all of those things to fall in place that way by accident.
The one blood pool connected to the major flow from Nicole’s neck that can’t be argued away as the result of a pool that was there before the flow is the heart-shaped pool on the crisp, photogenic Silga heel print. That pool had to have been drawn in. There is only one good photo of that pool. It’s the one with Fuhrman’s hand in it. –Jasper
