Phillips testified in the Civil Trial that when Vanatter arrived at Bundy, Phillips AND FUHRMAN took Vanatter on a first walk-through, "walking single file, Phillips, Vanatter, fuhrman", showing Vanatter all the evidence they had found. That blows fuhrman's story about the "lost or destroyed" bloody finger print on the back gate. He wrote that he gave Phillips his notes, and that Phillips took Vanatter on the walk-through: "it never occured to me to lead two veteran homicide detectives by the hand and show them the bloody fingerprint. It would have been an insult for me to emphasize a single piece of evidence to senior detectives."

Question is, when and why or if was the bloody fingerprint "lost or destroyed"? Only fuhrman, (and Roberts, according to fuhrman) ever saw it.
