There has only been one person that I know who has gotten closest to the truth of what happened to Ron and Nicole- Dick Wagner
Most of you have seen his posts to this newsgroup and know of his writing skills, his ability to analyze the information available and the efforts he went through to seek out, confirm and clarify various aspects of this crime. There are many things the people of this newsgroup don't know about Dick. They don't know about the many pictures his has painted or the books that he has written. They don't know about the things that he invented or the people he helped, and the wealth of information he had at his fingertips. They don 't know that he called me every single night at 8:00pm for nine months before I moved out to California and helped me through the death of my father, my friend and my son. They don't know that at 66, he built a garage by himself with his own design. They don't know he made a deck on top of that garage with latticework fencing and a porch that seemed to suspend in air. They don't know at 67, he added plumbing to bring water along side the garage and a spigot on the deck. They don't know he just finish making the foundation for a planter bed. They don't know he sat through approximately 100 tapes looking for images to add to the information on his site. They don't know the squirrels would eat out of his hand or that his cat came in the house every night at 11:00pm to sit and watch the news with him.
Many people dismiss what he has said about this crime without giving his work any real study. If they had really known him, they would not have taken what he said so lightly. But the world rarely notices the beauty and genius that passes through it.
It is with a heavy heart that I tell the group Dick Wagner left this world tonight. He died suddenly and with out suffering from a heart attack. It was the way he said he hoped he would die.
I have lost my best friend, my lover and the most wonderful man I have ever met. I am so grateful for the time I had with him, however short it was. He taught me so many things- from chemistry to trigonometry, from plumbing to electrical work, from plants to animals, from history to the meaning of words. His stories were delightful, full of humor and surprise. We were happy and life was good in Van Nuys.
For those who still have an interest in the Simpson case, we will go on and on with our ideas and opinions but tonight, Dick KNOWS what happened that night. I suspect he was proven right.!!!
