Kari,

Not before the murders but before O.J.’s arrest.

This is from Joe Bosco’s A Problem of Evidence, page 223 and 224:

According to a former cop who knows all the parties involved, even before the arrest of O.J. Simpson a “detective close to Fuhrman” went to a shop in West Hollywood and placed and order for baseball caps emblazoned with the international “no” symbol of a circle and diagonal bar superimposed over the number “32.” Beneath it, the legend LAPD JUICE BUSTERS. “32” of course, was Simpson’s old football jersey number.

It’s interesting that you should mention Elizabeth Montgomery. In “the Fuhrman collection” of movies I wrote about in The Smoking Gun and the Smoking Gun 2, the name Elizabeth crops up prominently so often that after a while it begins to leap out at you. Elizabeth (the actress or the character) is usually a blonde who either kills someone or gets killed.

In one made for television move called Murderous Visions, Elizabeth is the psychic friend of a blonde murder victim who sees visions of a sea of purple flowers. I thought it was interesting in Fuhrman’s made for television movie to see a quick photo shot of Martha Moxley standing in a sea of purple flowers. Martha’s middle name prominently displayed on her tombstone in the movie is, of course, Elizabeth. –Jasper
