No, I don't think that was a distraction. Not in the way that the Goldman's throwing their little fits outside the courthouse was--DURING the trial.
I have noticed the difference in the reporting of how far along she was. But I didn't notice it til recently. I had always heard 8 1/2 months pregnant from the beginning. But saw on the www.lacipeterson.com site last night the 7 1/2 months pregnant timeline rather than the 8 1/2 months pregnant.
This will need to be explained esp. in light of what the autopsy says. I don't deny that.
Nor, have I said Scott is guilty. What I have said is that he and his family have acted in odd and inappropriate ways--mostly him til recently--that does not endear the viewing audience and potential jurors to him.
