You are so right. I completely lost my mind experiencing one close tramatic death. I took my sink plumbing apart for some reason among other things. I was completely out of it for about 6 weeks and just did strange and nutty things.
Fortunately, I had people around me that did not judge me and just keep an eye on me to make sure I did not hurt anyone.
At my mother's funeral, my daughters and I got silly giggles before we went in. It was because we did something dumb and thought what a good laught my mother would get out of it. But if someone had seen us, they sure would have wondered.
In hospitals, I have seen people scream and fall into dead faints and have to be carried off. While others where so stoic, you would think that nothing had happpened. There is no normal way to act.
