On page 257 of Stephen Singular’s book, he is writing about the Fuhrman tapes. Singular quotes one of the tapes as having this portion on it. “ It’s like my partner now. He’s so hung up on the rules and stuff. I get pissed sometimes and go, ‘You just don’t even fucking understand. This job is not rules. This is a feeling. Fuck the rules; we’ll make them up later…’ He doesn’t know how to be a policeman. “I can’t lie,,,” Oh, you make me fucking sick to my guts. You know you do what you have to do to put these fucking assholes in jail.”

What if Fuhrman was talking about Brad Roberts? Could the prosecution have hid him because he was prone to telling the truth?

Fuhrman talks about Roberts seeing the bloody fingerprint. Then later the fingerprint is gone, not seen by the other detectives. What if Roberts was a mostly honest cop and it was Fuhrman who stuck close to him most of the time at the crime scene to make sure he did not find anything that would incriminate Fuhrman? So when Brad does the walk through, he spots the possible fingerprint and shows Fuhrman. Later Fuhrman stays in the alley of the condo for a period of time and disposes of the fingerprint.

Brad Roberts finds some sweats in the washer. He shows Fuhrman. Fuhrman was already told OJ wore some sweats that night (by Kato?) but he knows the fibers won’t match what he wore. Fuhrman manages to not get the sweats collected.

I know Fuhrman writes that Brad can collaborate what he found. Maybe Roberts has been pressured to do this or what he can collaborate is just what Fuhrman wanted him to vouch for, except he wasn’t called as a witness. Roberts is older and probably does have a deeper voice but that should not automatically make him Fuhrman’s accomplice.

The question has always been why wasn’t Roberts called to the stand? Maybe Roberts was Singular’s source and the prosecution found out about it. The prosecution, Ito, Dunne all had copies of Singular’s book proposal. Given most of the information was on Fuhrman, maybe it did not take much to figure out it was Roberts.

Jasper, is Roberts needed as the one to be Fuhrman’s accomplice? A more likely scenario to me would be Kato at Rockingham and Shipp at Bundy. Would you qualify Shipp’s voice as deeper? Just throwing this out for discussion.
