I saw the funniest thing on Fox News tonight. I saw MF on with two lawyers discussing the 5th Amendment.
I did not hear it but evidently during the hearings the other day for Scott Peterson, it was stated in court that on or before Jan. 17th Scott Peterson had envoked his 5th Amendment rights.
An argument started about what that meant --between the two lawyers. MF was suspiciously quiet. At one point the three people were on the screen at the same time. The two lawyers were on either side of MF in a split screen setup.
While the two lawyers argued about just how much "guilt" this meant if you plead the 5th and in particular what it means for Scott Peterson just af few weeks after his wife is missing. And what it means in the court of public opinion, etc.
ANyway, the Funny part was how "quiet" MF was without one single comment--and this sick half smirk on his face---and the look of "OH God, don't turn it on me".
There was the strictly legal argument but there is also what it does to affect the jury or the public opinion of guilt or innocence.
It was one of the few times I have ever seen MF appear uncomfortable during his rehab as the greated detective in the world.
