I did some research on the "rare stitch machine" a few years back. I'm don't remember all the details, but what I found is that it is common in these businesses not to discard of old machinery, but to move them to some developing country where labour is cheap and they can keep doing their expencive stitches or heavy man power work at a much lower cost.
So we have no idea where any gloves were made. And I believe the glove man said as much.
