O.J. Simpson's last game playing was in the 79/80 season I believe. His broadcasting ended sometime in 1994 January depending on which Network had the Super Bowl and which Network had the playoffs and then who won where. The season then ended around Christmas, and then into the playoffs. It has been getting later each year as the new Franchises have entered the NFL. More teams, more games. But no expansion had begun before 1994. Wait, perhaps two new teams began in 1994, just can't remember because it was during the time when The Niners got their fifth Super Bowl. Expansion may have begun but just barely.
