John,
When will you begin to consider the possibility that your first negative impression about something I did was motivated by thoughtlessness, maliciousness, dishonesty or stupidity? I’m sorry that the last separation between your words and mine were missing but the reason for that is in the software translation between my Word program and the Front Page translator for the comment box. I put in a space and a line between your words and mine. When I posted it, the space and the line were gone.
Sorry about that. It does not mean that I haven’t learned to use quotation marks properly. It just means that your message did not lend itself to the use of quotation marks and the technique I used to separate your words from mine didn’t survive the cut and paste.
I was as unhappy as you were with the way it came out. The difference is I looked at the post, the way it appeared on the board, as I would look at a nasty typo and gave the readers credit for being able to figure it out. The link to your site is a permanent part of my site and I made a specific reference to it from the beginning. If anyone was interested enough in the subject (your attributions of motives) and confused enough by the missing line and space above my question, they could go directly to the source.
