What about the letter that was on the kitchen counter in Nicole's kitchen, together with the knife? The one that Riske saw that had O.J.'s return adress on it. What ever happened to that? How often did O.J. communicate by mail with Nicole?
I read that letter long time ago and I found nothing threatning about it. If O.J.'s lawyer hadn't suggested writing it he wouldn't have been a good lawyer. If O.J. had accepted that Nicole was using his adress in an attemt of tax fraud, then O.J. could have been found guilty of helping her. If she was found out, the letter simply was his insurance of innosence in the scam.
A few years ago we had a severe storm and a neighbor's tree swayed dangerously towards our house. I happened to talk to a lawyer about my fears and she suggested to write the neighbor a letter about our concerns, and have it delivered. Then, in case this tree fell upon us, their insurance company would have to pay for the damage. Without the letter the damage would be called "an act of God", which insurance doesn't cover. Everybody should have a lawyer friend.
