I think all of what you mention is correct, but I also think that all of it points to no fuhrman at Rockingham in 84. Indeed the cronic name dropper would have mentioned his one and only indelibly pressed memory of a call to a celibrity. And what we know of his raving racism around the time he met Bell and Hart a comment about this inter racial couple sounds like it would have been waiting to me mentioned in the midst of the 40 something racial slurs.
The strangest "no mention" is, I think, when fuhrman was standing around having coffee with the detectives and learned that they were investigating the 89 incident, looking for previous violence in the household, and fuhrman said nothing. He waited a few days before he remembered and wrote the letter to the City Attorey's office.
In Day's reports before the Criminal trial he stated that Nicole met him at the front door, and that O.J. then came out. To think that a few minutes later, when fuhrman allegedly arrived, Nicole had ended up sitting sobbing on the hood of the car and O.J. was pacing in the driveway is utterly silly.
The only evidence that fuhrman came to Rockingham that day is a letter that he wrote some five years later. I wonder if he told his friend Ship, or anybody at the precinct. Like you said, his partner never came forward.
O.J. remembered two officers, didn't know that one of them was an LAPD officer till he was told that fuhrman said he was the one. He thought they were both Westec, which I think they were, as Day testified to.
Day said that he told Darden his story, the reviced one, but evidently Darden didn't believe him. He didn't call him or I think even mentioned him.
So to me, it is so clear that fuhrman was never at Rockingham that night. He made it up to trap O.J. and make him pay.
