It is true that Lou Brown got a sum of money from Nicole in the Spring of 94. I have never heard the exact date. It wasn't the first time and the amt is in question. I have heard $25,000 and I have heard $50,000.
What I do know is that the kids filed a suit of some kind (or was done in their name by OJ) against Brown as the controller of their Trust Funds. He was named the controller by NIcole in her last change of her will in May of that year. OJ had been til then. (Why she would do so is a mystery since Lou Brown is the worst handler of money known to man).
The suit was not just over the borrowed money but how he was handling the Trust Funds. Money gained from items sold of Nicole's had NOT been put into the fund by Lou but kept for himself. He said in the court that he figured he was "owed" it by OJ. The Trust Fund was the kids' not OJ's so this was sorta weird.
In the court case, he was removed by the judge as the controller of the trust fund and that job was giving to another man --whose name escapes me at this time--but who was a good friend of OJ"s and NIcole's but OJ's in particular.
Lou Brown has to be really screwing up the fund for this to happen. He was also ordered to pay back the money to Nicole's estate. He was also going to give that a pass since Nicole was dead and he felt like he was owed it.
Chris Springer (another OJ author) told me that there was plenty of reason for the Brown's themselves to have been suspects in her death if the investigation had been done properly. AND I agree. THe money situation itself and the changing of the will in their favor back in May is just part of it.
There were other items of NIcole's that were not sold but ended up in the sister's hands--Denise in particular. ANd I don't mean sentimental items but big ticket items.
And there has to be some reason that in the custody case, Denise is barred from seeing the kids. I have never been sure if it is never or never alone.
According to Bosco and others OJ supported the Browns over the years and gave Lou Brown about 5 businesses that he ran into the ground and lost. OJ to the day holds the lien on the Brown's house in Dana Point. (The Goldman's tried to get the court to give THEM the Brown's house)
THere is a big black hole that the Brown's money goes into and nobody have ever figured out what it is-drugs? gambling? drinking? ?????
