You are so right. Those who make it in the police dept have a certain personality type which doesn't allow them to admit when they make mistakes about a case. It is just how their mind works. My ex brother in law is a cop. I have seen it first hand. Even when it was a mistake about which one of his kids lied. He'd never admit when he picked to believe the wrong child.
