I have not read them but heard about his other books. In Murder in Spokane, in particular, according the Spokane police and the tv program which spotlighted it, he took 'tiny" clues or things he thought important and blew them up into a major deal.
And the police spokesperson tv said they had found about 400 lies in that book. They are NOT happy with him. He took the tiniest thing and blew it up til it became a lie.
He was excited and excitable about the tiniest thing that he thought important in the case and made himself the "hero" of the case.
He took these clues or leads and blew them up on the radio with the help of the radio host partner. He used the radio show to harass the police over these alleged clues.
The police of Spokane are unhappy with him. Mainly for the lies that he told on the radio and in the book.
But it is another case of his "jazzing" up the case and spotlighting his opinions and activities and highlighting himself as a hero.
He tries to make everything he says and every opinion he has or any activity he does as "exciting and important" when it's not.
