Then later in Jan of 96, Don Simpson is dead at the same address and I would say that Pellicano was called in at that time too."...charlie This is fascinating because I totally agree. What leads you to that conclusion? A little known fact I'll add is that Todd Marrero, who worked for Pellicano, just happened to be the person who stumbled across both bodies. Boy had quite a knack at finding bodies. I'll even extend the theory somewhat because typically in bad neighborhoods, a quick and dirty way (that doesn't leave fingerprints) to off someone who's an addict is by drug overdose. Guess Hollywood is just a bad neighborhood.

Found this last night: http://www.eonline.com/News/Items/Pf/0,1527,38,00.html It relates to the story about the SECRET Lou Brown/Dominique Brown deposition story that broke on July 26, 1996. Supposedly, the depositions were taken the week before.
“Secret depositions” are nothing like depositions as we normally think of them. The session is not recorded and nobody gets sworn in. In the federal case that I was involved in with Ford they weren’t even called depositions.
I should have realized what the situation was from my own experience. Then name “deposition” is what threw me. What happed with Lou, Dominique and Tonya sounds more like the informal statements that are taken during a mediation process.
This is a court-ordered procedure (Judge Fujisaki was not yet appointed to the case so another judge must have ordered it). The idea is for the parties to a dispute to sit down with a professional mediator prior to a formal hearing to see if they can work out their differences in a frank exchange without going to trial. The parties must agree not to reveal what was said. This condition is supposedly imposed to encourage everyone to tell the truth without fear than anything embarrassing they might reveal will become public information. In practice, it can succeed only when both parties enter into it in good faith.
It is now obvious that the plaintiffs’ attorneys used it to test the weaknesses in the witnesses they intended to call in the trial. The defense attorneys used it to get some of the information into the public domain when it became clear that the plaintiffs’ attorney would not call them. It was highly unlikely that the judge would allow the defense to call the plaintiffs’ witnesses. The attorney who leaked the information was taking a huge personal risk. He could have been disbarred.
