I’m not sure what this means. We have too many dates for references to the Brown’s “depositions” that don’t match up.
The July 26 article says that the depositions were taken the previous Thursday (I found another article that says they were taken the previous Wednesday). Yet, you found an article dated May 24 saying that Lou, Juditha, Dominique and DENISE mentioned the $5,000 incident. It doesn’t say when. That article also indicated that the reporter got the information from “the transcript.” The only available transcript we know of was from Denise’s deposition on May 2.
Does this mean that the reporter read Denise’s transcript and lumped the rest of the Brown’s into it after they talked about it in another forum? It looks that way. We know from following the case as it unfolded that the reporting was notoriously inaccurate. What we heard from the witnesses’ mouths was often not what read in the newspapers and magazines or heard on radio and television news.
It looks to me like Juditha, Lou and Dominique got the $5,000 incident story from Denise AFTER her May 2 deposition. It also looks like the judge ordered that the other Brown’s depositions be taken in secret after Denise gave hers on the record and the Brown’s were the first to break the confidentiality rule in order to shore up Denise’s story. The May articles suggest that stories about the Brown’s depositions being taken in July were either wrong about the date or they referred to another set of depositions.
None of this answers the question we had about Dominique. Where was she when Lange told her father on the phone that Nicole had been killed? You’d think that the defense attorneys asked her that question just as they asked Denise but how can we know for sure? They didn’t ask Juditha on the witness stand. –Jasper
