Can you recall where you read that a thumb ring was found on the murder scene? In all the accounts I’ve read about Nicole’s missing ring a thumb ring was not mentioned. I’m not even certain that a ring belonging to her was found on the murder scene.
There is no shortage of conflicting evidence and testimony in this case. When you zero in on a particular bit of information you often discover that the person who reported it got it wrong. You often have to sort through false memories, misstatements, poor observations, unfounded assumptions, misinterpretations of what someone said or who said it, and deliberate attempts to deceive.
If you do enough research on this case you are going to find your head swimming with so much information – so many names, dates, times, locations and evidence that your are bound to get something wrong no matter how hard you try to get it right. The great thing about this discussion board and the people who post here regularly (aren’t they terrific!) is that if one of us misses something, someone else usually catches it.

From everything I’ve been able to gather, Nicole was wearing only one ring when she was murdered. That was the thumb ring in the autopsy photo. The only ring found on the murder scene was the one under Ron Goldman’s body. I believe his sister Kim confirmed that it belonged to him. Not sure about that but it shouldn’t be hard to check. –Jasper
