I mentioned recently about a book I read that talked of the "smell" of the blood.
Well, here is something else I saw. Was watching one of the Lynch Mysteries on PBS and it had a murder of a woman in bed with a big knife in her neck.
This is a tv show that really doesn't require a lot of detail that is not a clue, etc.
With this in mind one of the things that they showed is that the woman was asleep in bed when killed and that she didn't move around when attacked.
What they showed was a blood splatter Up the wall and that a big circle of blood was on the CEILING. Her head was near the wall of course, at the head of the bed. Her head was on the pillow. The splatter went up the wall in a spray but when it reached the area where the wall and ceiling came together it made a large circular type splatter of blood that was like a "pool of blood" had it been on the ground.
It was just one of the technical things that they did to show the murder. It wasn't a clue.
She was stabbed right in the artery.
This is what I have always read and heard would happen if stabbed in the neck artery or the throat is cut. Even the book with the smell of the blood because the woman's throat was cut mentioned the splatter across the wall and across the sofa a bit of distance away.
This is why the absence of such a blood splatter at the Bundy scene has always been so puzzling to me.
It matches perfectly with what I have seen and read about a 12 ft gush of blood (hence the ceiling) when the neck is cut thru the artery. In Nicole's case--it was both arteries.
Nobody ever showed such a blood splatter indication on the steps or elsewhere. The blood on the step just doesn't pass the test.
