I will defer to your expertise on the hair color issue. I don’t know enough about it to make an intelligent judgment of my own. I never even thought about Nicole’s natural hair color until I got my copy of Raging Heart a day and a half ago. If she was a natural blonde, fine. If she dyed her hair from brown to blonde, fine. In fact, I thought that Nicole had brown hair when O.J. met her until I saw the picture of her as a blonde 17-year-old. Fine.
It is just within the context of Dr. Golden’s autopsy notes that Nicole’s hair color means anything to me. In the photo section of Weller’s book she shows Nicole as a blonde infant, a blonde five or six-year-old and a blonde seventeen-year-old as ell as a blonde adult. I know that blonde hare can turn darker even from season to season but I didn’t know that it could change color. I knew that Nicole dyed her hair. After seeing the pictures in Weller’s book I thought that she just dyed it to make it the same shade of blonde that it was when she was younger.
I thought that hair color obeyed the same fundamental rules as eye color – you keep what you’re born with. Now I know better. Thanks. --Jasper
